At the centre of Cabragh Lodge lies An Croí (Irish for heart) — our purpose-built, light-filled octagonal space designed to support reflection, learning and meaningful connection.
Surrounded by nature and thoughtfully created with mindfulness and compassion at its core, An Croí offers a calm and welcoming environment.
With underfloor heating for comfort throughout the year, the space is fully equipped with chairs, meditation seating, mats, cushions, blankets and a whiteboard, allowing you to arrive and begin with ease. The dining and breakfast rooms can also be made available as additional breakout spaces if required.
For residential retreats and events, we provide delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals nourishing food that is very much part of the retreat experience here — breakfast, lunch and dinner — along with morning and afternoon refreshments, all served in the dining room.
For day events and gatherings without overnight accommodation, An Croi can be hired for the day (8.30 – 18.30) Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided so that your group feels comfortable and well cared for throughout their time with us.
Cabragh Lodge offers peaceful and comfortable residential accommodation for up to 16 guests in four eco-friendly lodges, nestled quietly in nature around the centre.
Designed using a passive-house approach, each lodge has been thoughtfully created to support sustainability while providing warmth, comfort and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
Fully centrally heated throughout the year, the lodges offer a cosy and welcoming haven in every season. While environmentally conscious in design, they also provide all the comforts of modern living, including ensuite bathrooms with flushing toilets, hot showers and washbasins, ensuring a relaxed and comfortable stay for your participants.
Each of the four lodges has two ensuite bedrooms, and can be arranged with either a king-size bed (single occupancy/couples) or twin beds (2 share) depending on your group’s needs, offering flexibility and privacy. High-quality sheets, towels and cosy duvets are provided, along with thoughtful touches such as hairdryers, an iron and ironing board to help guests settle in with ease.
Every lodge includes a fitted kitchen and dining area with kettle, crockery, cutlery and glassware — ideal for preparing a drink or enjoying quiet moments between sessions. Each lodge also opens onto a private outdoor balcony with patio furniture, inviting guests to step outside, breathe deeply and take in the surrounding nature and expansive views.
Guests often remark on the peaceful energy of the lodges and the gentle, natural wood aroma that adds warmth and character to this unique accommodation, creating a deeply restful retreat environment.
