First Aid For Mental Health

Learn to recognise and respond to Mental Health issues 29-30/06/24

First Aid for Mental Health is a regulated training program that teaches you to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorder. The course provides tools and techniques to support someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or struggling with their mental health. It is designed to increase your confidence in recognising and responding supportively to mental health issues.

A  number of topics will be covered, including risk factors for mental health issues, warning signs of common mental health conditions, mental conditions, substance abuse and ways to provide initial support through effective communication techniques.

Fiona McMahon will facilitate the training course. She is a qualified instructor in First Aid for mental health and currently delivers this training course for the European Union Institutions including The European Commission, The European Medicines Agency, Frontex and Eurojust

This includes 2 day training course at Cabragh lodge, lunch on both days,  course material, access to an eBook on mental health and level 5  First Aid for Mental Health regulated by Scottish Qualifications Certificate (SQC) and  level 2 certificate regulated by UK OFQual. This follows successful completion of  the course and a short written assessment on the 30/06

deeply relaxing gong sessions. You will have lots of time to focus on connecting with yourself in a beautiful peaceful rural environment.
